I almost died myself 
Lightning struck from 5 feet away from me and hit a tree, at this very moment the tree is slanted, about to fall over, towards my house. And if it fell i'd be first to "know".....

The worst storm i ever seen in my life is last year,,
in the beginning of the storm, mayb 10 sec or so..the rains r going side ways and not reaching the ground...and my neighbor that live across from me's tree fell on his house..he needed to replace his roof..and another one of my neighbor's swimming pool is damaged..took some time to fixed it..and they need to rearrange their yard...tree branches, chairs, a table is like scatter around their yard...lucky for us nothing happened except i was playing a game and almost past the most difficult level the power went out so i have to replay it...

Wait, are you talking about the storm from Hurricane Ike? I've a neat story.
My friends and I was standing on a bridge over a small river (ten foot drop) when it started, struggling to stay on. The wind blew me into the water like, a few feet from safety, so I got out quickly. My friends weren't so lucky, so me and some adults got a little fishing dinghy they had to get them all out.
